Mama's Day

For the last few years on Mother's Day we have had a cook-out at our house for my family and Jay's family.  I think its nice because then none of the mothers have to clean or cook.  This year it rained all day so we had to stay inside, 9 kids and 12 adults. In case you were wondering, I do not have a big house...AT ALL!  But even with all the chaos it was fun.  My mama wore the nice sweater I got her when we went shopping.  I tried to take a picture but she has problems taking pictures where she's not flaring her nostrils so I didn't get one that would do her justice.

My 18 month old nephew did manage to take my sister's car keys and permanently lose them.  That was zero fun.

My mom and I used to have a rocky relationship so mother's day was never really my thing but I enjoy it now.  My mama and I have come a long way.

Here is a picture of my favorite grumpy old man and ornery 12 year old.  The old man is looking a little rough, maybe I should take him to a groomer?
